Tuning into your mental health

Mental health can be difficult. It can be challenging to discover if you feel "normal" or if you have a symptom of a mental health condition. Look for these signs and you'll know, it's time to ask for help:

  • Your feelings/thoughts are intense
  • Excessive worrying or fear
  • Feeling excessively sad or low
  • Prolonged or strong feelings of irritability or anger
  • You feel like you're not functioning normally 
  • Withdrawal from friendships and social outings 
  • Considering suicide or self-harm

If you relate to any of these, it's time to talk to a trusted adult, such as your parent, guardian, teacher, coach, or mentor. Your mental health journey doesn't need to be a lonesome road, others can join you on a greater path to create a better tomorrow. Looking for additional resources?
