Self-care for bad mental health days

Self-care for bad mental health days

  • Utilize a self-care checklist. Get shit done with this visual representation. Include your chores and daily tasks since you deserve to feel accomplished.
  • Reach out to a friend. Let them know you're having a tough day and you're seeking a listener, advice, or maybe even a distraction.
  • Read uplifting quotes. There are apps, social media accounts, newsletters, and countless ways to find positive sayings. Find one that resonates with you, write it down, and say it aloud when you're feeling down.
  • Unplug from social media. It's easy to forget that profiles are curated snapshots of what we want to show. Take a pause from scrolling, and utilize your time with one of these self-care activities instead.
  • Brain dump. Sometimes it's easier to share our thoughts on paper rather than hold them within.
